I tried to update from 8.0.22.2 to the latest version of NinjaTrader 8.0.23.1. An error with the following "There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete this installation." I tried to backtrack and revert to my old version but the same error message comes up. I then tried to uninstall NT and still the same message comes up.

I am at a loss as I can't do anything without this message coming up. Particularly frustration when I tried to restore my backup from yesterday.

Can anyone help?

We don't have this error listed in our knowledge base nor can I find it on the support forum. When exactly do you experience this error? Do you experience the error as soon as you (un)install NinjaTrader 8?

I search the web for this error and found various results. Can you please tell me what Windows version you have installed.

unfortunately, I have the same issue when trying to update from 8.0.20.1 64 Bit to the current version available using Windows 10 Professional.

Any ideas how to upgrade? Is there a workaround? I just run the file NinjaTrader.Install.msi which I have downloaded a few minutes ago.

Are you logged into Windows as the same user as

Are you able to uninstall NinjaTrader 8 or do you experience this error then as well?

Please try an uninstall/reinstall of NinjaTrader using the instructions below.

You will save all settings and data including your charts and indicators. All settings and data are located at Documents-->NinjaTrader 8 which is not deleted when you uninstall NinjaTrader in Windows.

• First, please make a copy of the license key entered at Control Center-->Help-->License Key as you need it to download NinjaTrader.
• Make sure NinjaTrader is shut down.
• Uninstall NinjaTrader 8 via Windows start menu-->Settings-->Apps.
• Download and install NinjaTrader 8.0.24.3 from the link below.
