Questions on upgrading my free license

I'm planning on upgrading my license and would like a few questions answered:

1) Is there no way to get chart trader and ATM strategies on a free license?
2) Once I pay for the license upgrade, what are the general procedures after? Do I simply receive a new license code in the email and then plug that code into the license section within NT8 and it's done?
3) How long would it take to receive the new license key after paying?

1. No, you need to lease a license key or purchase the lifetime license key.

2. You don't receive a new license key. Your existing license key will be updated. Once updated, you will need to restart NinjaTrader (or re-enter the license key at Control Center-->Help-->License Key).
