Keep a note sticky on a chart

I'd like to make myself a note that stays "sticky" on the chart. I mean so it won't keep moving off the chart as time goes by. Is there a way to do that?

This would require custom programming.

In the NT user app section of the Ninjatrader Ecosystem, there is an indicator that is free and publicly available called Chart Notes and it will allow you to add notes that stay in place.

Here is a basic guideline of how to Import NinjaScripts.

To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

To Import

1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools>import>Ninjascript add-on..
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:

• Right click your chart > indicators > Select the Indicator from the list on the left > New > OK

You can use Draw.TextFixed(...) for this requirement & choose either 4 corners of chart window or even center where you would like to have this note. Hope it helps!

Thank you for your reply.. unfortunately, it seems like there is coding involved, am not a programmer so guess this is beyond me :-(

It's like having reminders right there in front of you while you're trading. I think it could be super handy for jotting down quick notes or marking important levels.

I did a bit of digging and found this site, https://notesonline.com/, which seems to offer a similar service. Could be worth checking out if you're into this sticky note vibe. Just remember to always do your research before trying out new tools!
