Cannot connect to TDAmeritrade any more

    Cannot connect to TDAmeritrade any more

    I had no problem to connect to TDAmeritrade last week. But this morning I cannot connect it any more. I got the following errors:
    Error
    My TD Ameritrade: There was a problem connecting to TD AMERITRADE: Response status code does not indicate success: 401 (Unauthorized). (Logon failed)

    When I tried to re-configure and Authorize, I got this pop-up an IE browser windows for a few seconds and then disappear, its address as:



    Any idea what could happen? Thanks.

    Hello localappleseed,

    In some cases, a connection to TD Ameritrade might expire and needs to be re-authorized.

    To do this, please click on Connections > Configure, then remove the TD Ameritrade connection and recreate it.

    After your account has been re-authorized you should be able to sign in without further issues.

    Please let me know, should this not work!

        Same here.. Suddenly No Connection. Here is the log. Its impacting me.

          Yes, I removed my TDAmeritrade, then tried to re Authorize it. When I click "Authorize", an IE window appears and disappear in 1-2 seconds.

          The browser address as follows;


          So it looks like "The authorization server is currently unable to handle". Any thoughts?

            Thanks for inputs from bertochi and vivekniwas. Your inputs show this might be a common problem which could affect other users as well.

              There have been multiple reports this morning of users unable to connect to their TD Ameritrade accounts on NinjaTrader and other platforms. We are currently investigating these reports, but it looks as though TD Ameritrade is aware of the issue and is working on a resolution.

                    I have just signed up for a TDAmeritrade Paper Money account. I have gotten as far as getting NT authorized. When I try to connect the connection an error appears "My TD AMERITRADE: There was a problem connecting to TD AMERITRADE: The user's segment is not permitted. (Logon failed)

                        Please write in to us at PlatformSupport[at]NinjaTrader[dot]com so that we may further investigate your connection.

                        Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your Email so we may investigate this matter further.
                        • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
                        • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
                        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

                            The email address is PlatformSupport[at]NinjaTrader[dot]com, with the @ written as [at] and the . written as [dot] in the forum post.

                            We provide the Email address in the forum in this format to prevent bots from gathering Email data.

                            You could also send the Email directly from the platform.

                            You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

                            Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
