Backup file size.

In order to reduce the backup file size without loosing any sensible data, it's ok to delete the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\ folder?

Or only the cache folder inside db?

Thank you for your post.

I would not recommend deleting that folder or any NinjaTrader folder. Instead please try to uncheck Historical Chart data, Market Replay data, and log and trace files, in the 'Export Backup File' window as these options usually contain the largest file sizes and would not effect your ability to trade live if you need to restore the backup. All other options would need to be checked.

Each time I back up (weekly), my backup files increase in size (66GB for the latest). I think that each week I am backing up everything since I began using NT8. Is there a way to initialize the backup each month so that my last backup of the month contains only the current month and the first backup of the month does not contain earlier months? Can you suggest a better way to backup/archive my trade history and charts for later review?
