    Unable to execute limit orders

    Hi, wondering if anyone can help me out, currently just using the sim account on ninjatrader 8, I have used the sim account before without this issue, but now when I get on the chart to get some practice up, it doesn't allow me to put in limit orders when I right click to put a trade in, only market orders?

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hello Brad35817,

    Can you please tell me what instrument you have selected in the chart. If you select the ES 12-20, do you see all 4 order selections (Limit, MIT, Stop Market and Stop Limit) in the right click menu?

    Could it be no realtime data is received in the chart?

      Hi Jason, I am using ES 12-20, and yes I do see all 4 order selections in the right click menu although the limit order selections (both buy and sell whether I am below market price or above) are, how do I put it, not a bold white like the other selections are and cannot be clicked.


      It seems to be real time data, it is connected.

        Can you please send me an email at "platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com" including the license key you have entered at Control Center-->Help-->License Key. Put "Att Jason, 2816858" in the subject field of the email.

        In addition, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files in the email as well.
        • Open Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents") > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
        • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments.
        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
