    volume profile zoom?

hi there, i am looking at a weekly chart for the ES future with a composite volume profile on margin, is there a way to zoom or expand into the profile like we can do with the bars sliding on the x axis? I am trying to have a better granularity on the tick levels, thank you

    Hello rdeste911,

Yes, you can decompress the x and y axis as you normally would to zoom in on the volume profile.

Please click and hold the left mouse button on the right side of the y-axis and move upwards. Click and hold left mouse button below the x-axis and move to the left.

Let me know if this will not work for you.

Hi Jason, yes it does work on the y axis for price intervals but even if I scroll on the x axis only the bars will zoom but the volume profiles stays the same, am i missing something?

Sorry, I should not have included the x-axis instruction as it does not seem to affect this.

Can you please post a screenshot that shows the settings you have for the Order Flow Volume Profile, so I can test it.

            Thank you for the screenshot.

Unfortunately you can't use decompressing the x-axis to zoom in the volume profile. The Zoom In function also can't be used. The only way I see is to decompress the y-axis.

right, but I would need to zoom in horizontally too not only vertically, isn't there definetely another way for having more granularity for the volume profile on larger timeframe? that can't be right, can a request be put in for it? thank you

                        Hello,
I am using the default data series parameters after changing to a weekly chart. Does this also occur on a new chart?
Also, if you go to Help>About from the control center, what version does it say you are running? (ex. 8.0.xx.x)

hey Ryan, i am using version 8.0.22.2 64bit, what I mean is i get a very similar chart but first of all the differences are in the volume profile points (value area high low and poc) compared to yours, could it be a data provider issue? i have both ninja and kinetic; second my volume profile seems to be more compressed when compared to yours even if we have the same settings...

said so my main issue is not being able to expand it horizontally

                            Hello,

Data points will vary between data providers and several chart/indicator settings, so I wouldn't expect these to match 1:1. Unfortunately as my colleague stated, there is no way to manually drag/edit the profile itself.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
