I still have some examples so we can see 1) this is not a one off thing and 2) it happens all the time.

Important to keep in mind: tomorrow, the FSLY data will correct. If you don't see it in real-time, you won't see a problem after-the-fact.

Hello,
Thanks for your post.
Kineticket data is unfiltered and I am seeing the same data on my end. Some data feeds filter out orders at unexpected levels that were actually placed, but Kinetick does not filter these out and indeed is expected of a real unfiltered data feed.
If you have any further NinjaTrader inquiries we may assist with, please don't hesitate to ask.Marco G.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Any further questions?
Yeah: how do we remove these 'unfiltered' ticks? These are NOT legit, real trades. I cannot place orders there and get filled. This is ridiculous for a data feed that I pay for.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
After-hours markets typically have far less volume and liquidity than regular trading hours and spikes like these can occur during these times due to looser spreads and less market participants.
I've linked to a publicly available Youtube link below that discusses this concept of spikes occurring after hours for more information:
If you are not interested in seeing after-hours data, you can change your Trading Hours template to remove this information from the charts.
Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.

I want those bad ticks removed, those are not legit trades.
Here's my TOS chart. Where are the spikes?

I find it hard to believe that a data source that I pay for cannot remove those; while TOS that is FREE can?
How is this possible?
I don't want to simply remove pre/ah as I trade those so that's not an option. I want real, clean data that I am paying for. That's the solution here.

Hello,
If you go to Tools>Market Data you can enable 'filter bad ticks'. This filtering only works on real-time data and will filter ticks that are a greater then a set percentage away from the last tick. Set the percentage for filtering with the property: "% off market". Note: If NinjaTrader receives 2 or more ticks that violate the tick filter we will no longer filter the ticks as the market is assumed to have legitimately gapped up or down.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.Ryan S.NinjaTrader Customer Service

So maybe there is a solution.
Can you suggest what that % number should be? Or where to start with equities?
Thank you.

Hello,
I can't recommend a specific setting as this would be considered trading advice, but you can set this to whatever value you think will eliminate ticks you are trying to get rid of.
However, I would note the note above that if NT receives 2 ticks at a price it is considered valid market data, so in that case a tick filter would not work.
Please let us know if I may assist further.Ryan S.NinjaTrader Customer Service
