How do i view VIX9D index when using Interactive Brokers as data provider?

Hello.

I was using Kinetics services to view VIX9D, VIX, VIX3M, VIX6M, VIX1Y.
They explained to me how to add those instruments to NT8 and after that all was fine.

Due to very expensive costs and my need for two data services (one for trading and one for development) i am forced to leave them

So i went back to Interactive Brokers. After checking with them that they do provide it (in 2 min resolution), i was able to verify all of them using Ib TWS software.

Now to my problem:
I am using IB-Gateway with NT8. I also changed the VIX9D,VIX3M, VIX6M, VOX1Y definitions in NT8 by configuring those names for the instruments so that NT8 will be able to find them also when using IB-Gateway for data feed.

However the problem is that NT8 reports that it is unable to get the data stream form the VIX indexes i mentioned.

So what do i need to change so that it will work

Thank you for your post.

The symbol map in the image you shared is incorrect. The Interactive Brokers symbol mapping must match the symbol exactly as it appears within Interactive Broker's symbol database. For instance, the VIX9D symbol mapping in NinjaTrader would be VIX9D@. You may search Interactive Brokers publicly available symbol database from the link below;

1. You are correct. IB use VIX9D, VIX, VIX3M, etc. simbols
2. It worked ONLY after i added CBOE as stock exchange provided in addition to "default" i used wen using only Kineticks
