Basic question about the period for indicators

Hi, this seems rather obvious, but I can't find anything confirming it. In the "Period" field in the indicators menu in NT8, the period is based on the period of the chart, right?

For example, if I have a 10-minute chart (eg MNQ 09-20(10-minute), and I set the period to "10", that is 10 blocks of 10 minutes, right?

Just want to make sure the period doesn't have a default setting like days or something.
