Profit targets not being triggered

Hello Support,
I have just started trading live with FXCM and have the problem of my profit targets not being triggered when they are hit.
It seems as though the price action has to travel a good way through the profit target before the trade is closed. Is this something that Ninjatrader can help me with or should I take the matter up with FXCM.

With equities, suppose you have an order at bid to purchase, and the "last" trade was a market order to sell (it hit the bid).

In forex, however, this is not how it works. In forex, orders are routed to your broker, who gives you a bid/ask and they fill those orders only at bid/ask. for example, say you want to BUY, and send a limit order, your order will only be executed if the ASK equals your limit order. The spread is typically used as the commission for the trade.
