Market Data Settings

When I do a back test in the strategy analyzer I get an error message "Error on requesting bar series" unless I am disconnected from the data server or I request data only 2 years back(data provider limit).

I do have the historical data for the back test and I know there are market data settings under options but I cannot figure out the proper configuration how I can keep a live data connection and back test at the same time.

Any help will be appreciated

Thank you for your post.

You will need to disable the 'Get data from Server' option under Tools > Options > Market Data > Under Historical.

Then you will need to manually reload Historical Data from the Chart window by right-clicking and selecting 'Reload all Historical Data'.
