Limiting the amount of cores the optimization algorithm uses

Is there a way to limit the number of cores the optimization algorithm uses? My cpu has 12 cores, but based on my optimization strategy and goals, I don’t need the 12 cores running. For me, 1 to 3 cores Running in parallel is enough, anything more is a waste of resources than anything else. I want the ability to leave my optimization process running for several days/ even weeks, but also I want to have it running in the background, so I can do my daily routine.

i think c# has paralleloptions class, but I don’t know if ninjatrader has that option.

There would not be any supported method to limit the number of cores the Optimizer uses.
