ChartTrader grayed out

I saw a guy on youtube the other day that enable this instrument greyed out with some steps, I'm searching for the video but I can't find it, im happy to share it when i found it but i need the same answer, thanks

This is not the same problem as described by the OP.

However, in regard to your issue. This (Instrument) only becomes selectable after adding another instrument to your chart via Data Series. If using only one instrument on your chart there is no need (and it's even undesirable) to be able to select it.

This happens to me quite often, I just close and reopen NT8 and it seems to fix it.
Try rebooting, see if that helps in your case.

[Solution]

1. Download the latest version of NT8 and install it.
2. On the window that has this issue (ChartTrader Grayed out)
on the information bar (at the top) RIGHT CLICK
3. Choose Duplicate window, check if ChartTrader options are not grayed out.
4. Close the old faulty windows.

Cant believe that NT Support staff couldn't solve this not even 17 posts OMG!!!!

Thanks for that, I found another workaround as well.
1. Click on Chart trader, it's greyed out.
2. Click on data box icon beside chart trader icon, once to select it, and click once more to de-select it.
3. Click on chart trader, now it's not greyed out.
