Volumetric - External DLL in Visual Studio

Hello,
I am using Volumetric bar type, everyhing compiles fine, but when I open indicator in visual studio. I get error in screenshot - that i am missing reference.. What is file,, where VolumetricBarsType is stored?

Hello kujista,

This is left out of the custom project due to how it is built, you can technically get the intelleprompt for this however it will generally be lost during any change which causes the NinjaTrader.Custom project to be regenerated.

In visual studio's solution explorer you can click show all files. In the files that are shown you can locate NinjaTrader.Vendor.cs and include it in the solution.

Because the volumetric does not come as source code and exists within the vendor dll its not included in the custom project by default.

Unofrtunately in vendor.cs there is not volumetric mentioned i look into documents ninja.. custom directory. What am i missing

Hello kujista,

In this situation you would also have to add a reference to the vendor dll from visual studio each time you wanted to see that type in intellesense. As noted this is an internal type so it is expected to not show up when being used in visual studio. The errors in visual studio can mostly be ignored because that will not be doing any compiling and it doesn't have the full context of what NinjaTrader sees.
