Hot Key for Order Entry Question

Is there a hotkey or any way possible to hit a key combination that basically preloads the cursor with an order? What I mean is say I hit Ctrl-B then I can click anywhere on the chart to place a buy order (if below market a limit and if above a stop). If not is it possible to develop this through an add on and if so can you point me in the right direction in the documentation where I can find more about creating this capability? Thanks!

Thanks for your question.

The Order Entry Hot Keys are used for Order Entry windows in general and are not specific to a chart. So we could not use an Order Entry Hot Key for point and click orders on a chart.

You can certainly program an AddOn to do this, however. Attached is an example that already provides most of this functionality using AddOn Framework code to submit orders in an indicator. It can be expanded to check for key presses and I have linked a conversion of the ChartNotes indicator script that checks for key presses.
