    time zone settings - daylight savings time

    It appears that NT8 does not automatically adjust the time zone settings for daylight savings time. For example, in my platform settings at this time, US Central time is listed as UTC-06:00 when US Central time is currently UTC-05:00. Am I interpreting this correctly? If I want my platform to observe US Central time year round, then do I need to manually adjust for daylight savings time twice each year when it switches? I often trade while located in various time zones so I can't simply set NT to my local time zone on my pc.

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    NinjaTrader 8 will automatically adjust based on your PC clock. So if your PC Clock updates it's time for Daylight savings so will the NinjaTrader 8 Platform.

      My PC clock updates for daylight savings. So if my trading computer is traveling to various locations/time zones around the world, NT 8 will automatically adjust as necessary to always adhere to daylight savings hours regardless of my current local time zone?

      Specifically for example: if my NT 8 platform is set to UTC-5:00 in the General Preferences, and my trading hours template is also set to UTC-5:00, then NT 8 will automatically maintain UTC-5:00 chart display and trading hours regardless of my current local time zone or daylight savings changes. Correct?

        Thank you for your reply.

        When your PC time changes NinajTrader will change it's time zone the next time the platform connects. You will need to go into the Options menu and change your time zone. After your initial change to the time zone on the Platform, it should stay set.
