notification of updates

Having stopped the program popups that notify when a new version of NinjaTrader is available, there seems to currently be no update notification process
Could we have a notification system please, I rarely check the NT forums unless I have a problem?

Typically we would send out a pop up in the platform, however, we simply haven't sent one out yet for this most recent update that became available a few days ago. Another great resource to check what the latest version is would be the release notes.

If you need to update, please follow the steps below:

• First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

With respect, you told me the same thing in April about an earlier release that I hadn't seen and hadn't been notified
If NT is planning to go back to pop ups then fine, I'm just asking that there be some notification process

Thanks for the feedback. There is no change in the process of sending out the pop-up notice for new releases and you'll likely see one for this new version soon.

Open the "News and Announcements" directory from the main NinjaTrader Forum - Top right hand of page you can subscribe to this directory.
This method will notify you when a new build has been released.
