How to sync instruments from NINJA to TWS?

Hi,

I have a strategy that is running nicely in NINJA simulation for ES. How can i now run it in live? I changed the account to live and when the order gets kicked off it gives an error saying the instrument doesn't exist in TDAmeritrade TWS.

How can i sync the instrument names?

What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.X)

You refer to TD Ameritrade (which has a platform called Think or Swim) but then also mention TWS, which is typically the shorthand for Trader Workstation which is Interactive Brokers' platform. Please clarify - are you referring to trading futures to a TD Ameritrade account? Or an Interactive Brokers account?

Sorry about that. I have both. I was actually referring to TOS(Think or Swim) by TD Ameritrade. I am assuming I will run into same issue when running live in TWS(IB) right?

Thank you for your reply.

The interface between NinjaTrader and TD Ameritrade only supports stocks. This is why it would not be possible to receive ES data when you are connected to TD Ameritrade.

By contrast, NinjaTrader can in fact use Interactive Brokers for futures data. Connecting to Interactive Brokers will provide real-time and historical minute data for futures contracts like ES. Thank you so much. I have the gateway setup already and running the datafeed via tws just wanted to start with TOS instead of IB. Can I put in a feature request for doing the same for TD's TOS?
