Wrong Data Being Referenced by NT8

So this started when I went to roll to the CL 07-20 contract last Friday. I was hoping it would rectify itself over the weekend somehow... no luck. Basically there are some charts that are not referencing the data they say they are, or that I am directing them to. See attached screenshots where the instrument selected in the chart window says 'CL 07-20' but then the indicator data selector shows the only available data series is the 'CL 06-20' contract. The second screenshot reflects this again where the price in the chart trader side bar reflects the 07-20 contract, but you can clearly see the price printing in the chart window just to the left is not the same price, and is the 06-20 contract.

So far I have cleared my cache by doing the following (a couple times):
    1) Disconnected my data feed (IQ Feed is provider)
    2) Gone in NT8 to Tools>Database Management>Reset DB and checked both boxes then hit 'Reset'
    3) Shut down NT8
    4) Gone to My Documents>NinjaTrader 8>db
    5) Then I deleted the following folders: cache, day, minute, tick
    6) Lastly I rebooted my PC and pulled up NT8 again

It loaded slowly and I could tell it was re-downloading data... but same issue. It's not on all charts. Some charts that were doing it on Friday aren't doing it anymore. Not really sure what to try now.

The CL 07-20 doesn't rollover in NinjaTrader until May 14th. If you want to rollover before that and continue to merge past contracts, you will need to adjust the rollover date:
    • Control Center > Tools > Instruments
    • Locate and select 'CL' > Edit
    • Scroll down and select 'Edit rollovers'
    • Select the '07-20' contract from the 'configured' list
    • Edit the 'rollover date' to any date prior to today > OK > OK > Close
    • Right-click on your chart and select 'reload all historical data'
If you do not want your charts to merge back past contracts, you can change your merge policy to 'Do Not Merge' under Control Center > Tools > Options > Market Data > Global Merge Policy.

Below I have provided a link to the Understanding Merge Policies section of the help guide.

      Thanks Patrick,
That was a huge help, it actually brings up a question for me. I thought I had rolled contracts early before, but since I have not run into this problem before perhaps not. I read the guide on rollovers for futures contracts and it described the normal process I have used (mostly manual). Today was the first time I learned there was some other way or related items to accomplishing rollover. Are there any additional resources or FAQ type information that I might be missing regarding rolling a contract?

The only reason this rollover worked differently than before is that volume switched from June to July earlier than predicted and therefore the built in rollover date was 'late'. You would continue to use the rollover steps you're accustomed to unless you prefer to rollover prior to the built in roll date which is what occurred in this particular case.
