In a NT8 strategy, how can I addChartIndicator using an indicator template to set the indicators parameters?

AddChartIndicator() - "Adds an indicator to the strategy only for the purpose of displaying it on a chart." Reference: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...tindicator.htm

You can change the indicator plots through the strategy, please see: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help..._strategie.htm

However, there are no means to use an indicator template in a strategy to preconfigure the indicators display when using AddChartIndicator. You can always manually add the indicator to take advantage of the indicator template.

I will write up a feature request to add the capability to AddChartIndicator() to be able to specify a template to use. A feature request does not mean it will be implemented but does keep the request up for review and possible implementation. Once I have further information on the feature request I will update this thread.

The feature request has been created as SFT-4824, "Specify indicator template when using AddChartIndicator()".

If implemented it would be shown in the release notes for the version it is first implemented.
