Exit Strategy without Disable

Is it possible to close a position that is running without disabling the strategy that fired it? It seems that when I chose "Close Position" or "Flatten Everything" from the control center, it also disables the strategy. I might decide to close a position early, but I still want the strategy to stay enabled. Is that possible?

Yes, using manual order submissions to close a position will have NinjaTrader cancel active orders, close the position and also disable active strategies on that instrument so additional orders cannot be fired. It is meant to get out of your position.

If you want to force your strategy to exit a position from user interaction, you could consider adding buttons to the strategy, and use those buttons to close the strategy position. An example strategy which adds buttons can be found below.
