Time based order entry

Is there a way to enter orders at specific times? I am looking for a way to enter orders in advance using time. For example when the market opens at 9:30 I want to place time orders for the remainder of the session. Buy at 10 am...sell at 2 pm ect... If this can be done? How far in advance can orders be placed. Example Can I place a buy order for 9 am for next Friday?

Thank you for creating your post with this question today.

What you are describing would possible via setting up a Time-based alert and setting the Alert Action to Submit an order. This would then cause the time based alert to be triggered at a certain time and place an order.

To do this, right click on the chart > Select Alerts, this will then bring up the Alerts window. First to set the conditions click the add button, from the top left, select Time > ES 06-20 (any instrument but just this as an example) 1-minute for instance, select the middle value to greater equal > Next, set the right option to Time value, then enter the needed time under General > Press OK.

In the Action section of the alert window, select "add" > Submit an order and fill in the details as to what type of order you wish for the alert to submit.

One other note is that this method will only allow you to select the time and will not allow you to place orders days in advance.
