Draw from BarTypes

Hi,

It seems to me that it should be possible to draw fixed text from the BarsType code. The issue I seem to be having is getting access to NinjaScriptbase owner. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks.

Thank you for your note.

It would not be possible to use Draw.Fixed from within a BarsType, however you could write an indicator which depending on the Bartype could display fixed text.

Below would be an example of an indicator which will put a warning on the chart if the bars period is not weekly.

Kind of misses the point. Of course you can write an indicator, but writing an indicator just to print a word or a phrase is clunky. Way too much overhead for such a simple thing.

I guess the main use might be if you wanted to notify the user about something specific to the BarType, or for debugging. You might simply wish to output something to the screen.
