^TICK and VX 06-20 information does not update in Charts

Hello,

I have a standard chart in NT8. Instruments such as "ES 06-20", "CL 05-20" etc. work fine in that data is continually updated in the chart. However, when I set the instrument to either "^TICK" or "VX 06-20", while I see the chart for the instrument when I pick these instruments, data does not continually update the information in the chart. Instead I see a message that says "Bar Timer waiting for realtime data before starting" where I normally have a bar timer in the chart and the information in the chart is static. Please help, since I make decisions based on a 1-minute SMA on these charts and I can't keep refreshing the chart manually just to get updated information.
