Long term charts

In the past I've been able to create long term charts - 5+ years. I was about to create a chart of 500 days. I put 500 days into the Data Series for the chart, but the chart only shows 180 days. Why don't I get the 500 days?

Thanks for your post.

This would depend on how much historical data your data feed provider is supplying for the data type you are requesting on the chart.

The historical data availability for Kinetick, for example, is as follows:

• Up to 180 days of Tick data
• 2+ years worth of Minute data
• 10+ years for Daily data

Commonly traded symbols will typically have even more extensive historical minute and daily data available.

Just now getting back to this... Talked to DTN this AM and was told that the historical data depends on the instrument. For something like the ES, minute and Daily Data could go back 10 yeas plus. He the loaded up a 60 min charts going back 10 years - I wasn't there so had to take his word for it. Tick data does have some restrictions depending on TOD.AGAIN, I loaded up a 5 year 405 min chart that only went back to Oct 2019. So, I'm not getting this I don't remember this occurring before.

What instrument are you trying to load this minute data for?
Who are you connected to? What data provider are you using?

ES

I thought that it might be the Data Settings in the ES Instrument, so I changed the Merge Policy to Merge Back Adjusted. I also specified ES ##-## for the instrument on the chart. the chart is 405 Minutes 1260 days loaded (This is weird!!! I just created a chart with the above parameters AND IT WORKED!!!???)...DISREGARD ALL OF THE ABOVE... Sorry to have wasted your time... Strange..
