losing data

Hi.

I'm using BuySide Global's Order Flow software. At the end of a trading session I save the workspace and close down the software. When I start up the software the next day all the data from yesterday's session is gone. Is there any way the data can be saved so I can go back and review?

What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.0)

Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

I am not familiar with this custom add-on, however, it sounds like the tool only works off of real-time data. Have you contacted the developer regarding this symptom? If not, could you reach out to them and then let me know what they report?

We may be able to enable 'Tick Replay' to work around the real-time only limitation, but it would be best to find out the developer's opinion before continuing.

I'm currently using NT 8.0.15.0
Live data coming from Continuum.
I've contacted BG Global and they suggested using Tick Replay which I haven't tried doing yet.

I got the response above in an email, so I'll be responding here and via email.

Let's enable tick replay. Follow these steps:

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Options > Market Data > Enable 'Show tick replay' if it is not enabled > OK
• On your chart, right-click and select 'Data Series' > Enable 'Tick Replay' > OK
• You'll receive a message letting you know that tick replay is very resource-intensive. Acknowledge that menu

You should now see the charts reload which would normally cause the accumulated data to disappear but will now be backfilled using tick replay data.
