Adding Live account

Hello...assistance please.

I have been using NT8 via FXCM as a demo.

Today I opened a funded live account with FXCM and have the FXCM Real connection., however I cannot see where to add my funded account, and the Accounts section at the bottom of the Control Centre still shows the "demo" amount of $100,000. (Displays SIM101)

If I try to "Add Account", I am unable to as it greyed out.

Looking back at previous posts, I see that Global Simulation Mode must be unckecked...however mines is grey out also.

Where can I add my funded FXCM account so I can trade?

I was given wrong instructions by FXCM Customer Services...I need to Provide a Letter of Direction to add my FXCM account to NT...all sorted.

Thank you for your posts.

The greyed out Global Simulation Mode option indicates that the license key you're using for NinjaTrader is a simulation only key. This means you cannot trade live with the license key you currently have in the platform.

If you have purchased a license key for live trading or received a Free Live License Key from your broker, you'll need to put that into the platform first before you can turn off Global Simulation Mode and access your live account. You'll need to go to Help > License Key and replace the Sim key with your correct key.

If you do not have a live license key, please contact [email protected] to discuss your options with our sales team. If you have previously purchased a license key but do not have access to it or have lost it, they would also be able to provide you with that as well.

Thanks Kate...feel a fool...you are perfectly correct...I need a licence to trade live !
