program corruption

something happened with my installation of NT8
whenever I try to attache a strategy to the chart, as soon as I push the circle icon, the chart gets frozen and the program is stuck. only reboot can get it out.

I updated the the latest ver 15. nothing
all strategies compile with no errors

I dont want to reinstall everything although in principle I can get back to 30 day old backup.

thought maybe there is a more painless solution.

what can I do ?

but I open a chart without any indicators on it.clean
