importing data

How can I import data from tradestation into a ninjatrader chart? I want to take tick data and chart it. I tried saving it as an excel doc but I must be doing something wrong. Thanks

Thank you for your post.

Please ensure that the data in your file is formatted for NinjaTrader. Historical data can be imported from a text file with a ".txt" extension within the Load tab of the Historical Data Window. Several formats and data types are supported and NinjaTrader can optionally build 'Minute' bars from tick data as well as 'Day' bars from tick or minute data.

For daily bars, the format is:

yyyyMMdd;open price;high price;low price;close price;volume

For minute bars, the format is:

yyyyMMdd HHmmss;open price;high price;low price;close price;volume

For tick bars, the format is:

yyyyMMdd HHmmss;price;volume
