Market replay help

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get the Market Replay function to work but I am not having a lot of luck. I looked at youtube tutorials and read the help guides but it didn't help.

I loaded my own data, which is Daily data and the platform accepted it (attached); I connect to market replay and open a new chart but both Historical and Market replay modes are greyed out and I cannot get the platform to replay the data.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, Daily data is not going to work in the Playback connection. This can use Market Replay Data and Historical Tick Data only.

Hi Chelsea, so there is only the intraday capability to test with Market Replay? What if I want to test manually on hourly or daily charts? Is it possible?

Hello alexstox,

The Playback is designed like a live connection but can be set to a faster playback speed.

Any bar type would build in real-time if the data is available. For example if you play through multiple days, this would advance a daily chart.

will it work on my own history of ticks? E.g. I can add a history of ticks for a symbol, will it work this way?

The Playback is able to run using historical 1 tick data. Yes, this would also work for custom instruments.
