I canīt install NT8 - error log file

Hi,

I tried intall NT8 in W10 and when I start the programme to appears a message : " Unable to open log flie" (view image)

- The folder C:\Users\XXX\Documents\ninjatrader8\log is empty. I donīt know if this is correct o It should be full

- the antivirus is OK permision

It looks like you don't have access to the path 'C:\Users\XXX\Documents\NinjaTrader 8'.

- Is this by chance located on a network drive?
- have you installed NT8 as admin?
- are you running NT8 as admin?


Do you happen to have any real-time antivirus scanning going on? Perhaps some hard drive backup utility attempting things too?

Can you please try disabling any software that might be doing any scanning and see if you get the issue? If you don't want to disable the software you usually can add an exception to Documents\NinjaTrader 8 directory to avoid scanning that one and locking the files when NT is trying to use them.
