How to update the US Equity symbol database?

Hi,
Is there a way to update the US equity symbol database? I use a scanner and very occasionally the scanner spews a symbol which is not recognised by Ninjatrader.
I get my data from kinetick which I believe uses iqfeed as its underlying data provider. iqfeed do provide an updated list of symbols so the question is how can I refresh the existing Ninjatrader symbol DB with the latest symbols?

Thanks for the post.

You can update your symbol list by following these steps:

1. First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
2. Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
3. In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section then click Update
4. Lastly, restart NinjaTrader for the changes to occur

You will need to update any user added instruments manually since they are not included in the instrument server definitions.
