Ray Attach to does not work on chart with extended timeframe

Hello,
When we draw a Ray on a chart, which has more loaded days, and the Ray starts on a day, which is not available on other chart of the same instrument, that Ray won't be shown on other charts.

Example:
We have a 5 min chart with 2 loaded days starting March 10.
Open another chart starting March 5th
Put a Ray on the 2nd chart starting match 5th and attach to all charts.

First chart will not display the ray. Instead, there we'll be a vertical line at the start of the chart. Looks like the chart does not know how to draw it without having same start date loaded.

Yes, a drawing object must have the bars on the chart that correlate to the anchor points. If there is no bar for the anchor point, NinjaTrader cannot draw the object on the chart.

If you change the Days to load setting to ensure the bars are on the chart for the drawing anchor points, do you see the drawing object appear?

Yes, if days are loaded, the objects appears.
when I put a level using a ray on a weekly chart I would like to see this level on the a minute chart too but does not want to load past weeks of history.
I can use a horizontal line as a workaround but a ray was better as I know then where it starts.

Hello Alex,

I would not know of a work around. Drawing objects use the chart bars to know where to draw on the chart. If there is no bar under the anchor then the object will not be drawn.

You would need to move the drawing object so that all anchors for this are within the range of the bars on both charts.
