should I be getting email notification of NT8 updates?

I'm not now and don't find an Options to start that.

We send out an 'in product announcement' shortly after a new version is available. We have not yet sent out this for the most recent release of NinjaTrader 8 on 02/25/20.

You can keep up with what the latest version may be passively by monitoring the release notes or the News and Announcements sub-forum.

On the NinjaTrader Forum - Click on the News and Announcements heading and subscribe - You will then get notification whenever there is a new release.
Works for me !!
