NT8 failed to open after installation

Is weird, I have two laptop one old which I am currently running NT8 on and a newer better laptop which after installing NT8 it does not want to open it and keeps giving the error code (see attachment).

The old laptop is an HP that has Windows 7 professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) and it can open up NT7 and NT8, but it is slow.
My newer laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad T430s with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1 Build 7601) and it opens up NT 7, but IT CAN NOT OPEN NT8.

Do you know what can be the problem?

Hi zaro33, thanks for your note.

Windows 7 is not supported by Microsoft anymore, therefore we can no longer support Windows 7 PCs. It is recommended you install Windows 10 on this PC. Make sure the PC has .NET 4 installed onto the PC. See this download link:

The Microsoft .NET Framework 4 web installer package downloads and installs the .NET Framework components required to run on the target machine architecture and OS. An Internet connection is required during the installation. .NET Framework 4 is required to run and develop applications to target the .NET Framework 4.

Also, ensure the NT8 folder is clean by following these steps.
    • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
    • Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
    • Reboot your PC.
    • Once these steps are completed, download and install NT8 from the link below.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

      Chris:
If you are not going to support your software on Windows 7, then maybe you should change your advertising on your internet site. Windows 7 is still listed in the minimum requirements for NT8, which means that your software should run on and be supported on Windows 7. There are many of us out here who do not want to switch to Windows 10 because of all the bugs in it plus the other problems with Windows 10. Go on youtube and watch some of the videos that explain all these bugs and problems. Also, you should always inform your users that if they upgrade to Windows 10, it will probably change their machine ID which is used for licensing by most 3rd party vendor indicators. This can be a real hassle if you have a lot of 3rd party indicators.

Thanks for the feedback, rblunsom . In the page you're referencing, there is a line which states "*Microsoft will end support for Windows 7 & Windows Server 2008 on January 14, 2020. We recommend upgrading your operating system in advance to avoid disruption.".
