Weekly chart with daily close last price

Hi, how can I display Weekly and Monthly charts with close being Last price instead of Settlement

    #2
Weekly/Monthly charts are built from daily data. Whether or not your daily data's closing price is last or settlement will depend on your data provider. From what you're reporting, it sounds like you're connected to a data provider that supplies settlement data to NinjaTrader. See the 'Settlement adjusted Close Price For Daily Bars' column to learn more:Unfortunately there is no way to switch this within NinjaTrader. You would need to use a data provider that did not provide settlement adjusted close data to NinjaTrader.

With that said, I have submitted this as a feature request to the Development Team. The internal tracking number for your feature request is SFT-1226. Please reference this internal tracking number if you ever have questions regarding this feature request.

When a feature request is implemented, you'll find it in the release notes:

But I can display last price on Daily by opening 1440 minute chart, is there work around like that for Weekly/Monthly charts?

That's correct - 1440 minute charts display last traded price because it's based on minute data. Unfortunately there is no way to create a minute-based weekly or monthly chart by default, however, forum user RonnyKeller made an add-on with this functionality:Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:

Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

        To Import:
        1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
        2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
        3. Select the downloaded .zip file
        4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.
Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'
