Share -> Price option grayed out

Hi,

1. Make sure that under "Options" - "Share Service" a service is added.
2. Right click on a chart
3. Select "Share"

Now the "Price" option is grayed out. The problem occurs on two systems where the latest NinjaTrader 8 version is installed. On another system running NinjaTrader 8.0.9 the option is not grayed out.


Why is this option grayed out? Is there a specific option to enable it?

Do you have the same share service and the same chart being used for both platforms?

Please note that the available "Share" options will change depending on the window context you have right clicked in.

Yes. I am using the same data provider and the same instrument (I have tested different instruments). The "Share" - "Tab" and "Window" options are not grayed out and work fine.

Test setup:

1. Fresh Windows 10 installation.
2. Fresh installation of NT 8 (from website, today) demo version
3. Add CQG data provider.
4. Enable "Email" Share service
5. Open a chart with E6 future (15 min)
6. Right click - "Share". "Price..." option is grayed out.

I also tested it with a fresh NT 8.0.9 installation, with my commercial multi-broker license, and other data providers. Everywhere the "Price" option is grayed out except one older NT 8.0.9 installation.

Thank you for your post.

In order for you to be able to Share Price, the Chart Trader must be enabled on the chart. You may do this by going to the ToolBar in your chart and clicking on the Chart Trader button.
