Tick Charts Performance Settings

Hello,

I have four computer montitors with multiple charts on each one. I use Tick based charts, minute based charts and Order Flow charts.

NT8 has been freezing on me again, so I searched through the forum and online help for performance info.

After reading your Performance Tips online document, I recently changed all my indicators (except for my volume indicators) to be from 'Calculate on each Tick' to 'Calculate on Price Change'.

My question is, for my Tick charts, do I still change all my indicators (except for the volume indicators) to 'Calculate on Price Change'? Or because they are Tick charts, is it better to set all indicators on those charts to 'Calculate on each Tick'?

The "Calculate on each Tick" setting will generally be the most CPU intensive option which could certainly affect your performance, we would only suggest setting your indicators to this option if you were specifically instructed by a vendor.
