Max daily risk or Max trade risk possible for manual trading?

Does ninja have a setting anywhere that would allow someone to set a Max risk per trade or per day that would auto close a position if either were breached?

If not I assume this is possible by building an add on? Thanks.

check with your broker, some broker can lock you out when daily max loss reached.

Thank you for your post. NinjaTrader 8 does include some Risk items found at Tools > Risk, though these are generally for max position/order and margin items. I suggest contacting your broker, there are often account-side items able to be put in place based on account risk of this nature.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm not looking for the broker to provide this capability, more something I can set beginning of the session and can't change after first execution.

If I develop an add on do they have access to be able to place trades? This the add on can monitor account and shut the manual trader down if necessary?

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, add-ons do have the capability to place trades but there is no capability to prevent a user from doing manual actions. If a user was using a different tool other than your addon, you could monitor or react to those events but not prevent them. Inside of your addon, you could lock the user out from placing further trades from your addon based on some scripted criteria.
