Can't get historical candles

I recently got an NT8 practice account. When I open my 1 minute index futures charts the current 1 minute candle starts to print but there are no overnight or previous days candles on the chart.
I thought maybe I could go to 'data series' and change the 'trading hours' input to 'Default 24x7' but that wasn't the solution.
How can I get previous day's and overnight candles to appear when I first open the charts? Thanks.

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
