Manipulate Running Automated Strategy with ATI

Can I use Ninjatrader's ATI to manipulate a current running automated strategy? From what
I read, I understand that with the API, I can open/close trades etc.. but that will execute on the account and doing so will affect my running strategies (running multiple)? I would like to access the a specific running strategy directly and be able to feed it parameters or edit variables.

If not, if I attached an ATM strategy to an automated strategy order, can I directly reference that ATM and control it via the ATI?

Unfortunately, there no way to communicate with, enable or disable, or send orders to a NinjaScript Strategy through the NinjaTrader ATI/API.

You could write to file with your external application and read from the file in NinjaTrader instead...

Or have all of the code internal to the NinjaScript..
