Interactive brokers paper account on NT8 does not sync with Interactive Brokers
Hello, I use NT8 with a paper trading account from Interactive Brokers using the IB Gateway. For some reason I do not see my IB account on ninjatrader. When I use the connection I've set up, it creates a standard SIM101 account that doesn't seem to be connected to IB. I do get market data but my trades are not reported to IB (on the website they do not appear) and my balance on NT8 is different than on IB website. I checked with IB support, and they had me install TWS to check if it reported to IB using TWS which it does. For some reason it doesn't with NT8. It may be a config issue but i followed the instructions on your connection guide. Please assist. ThanksTags: None

Thank you for your note.
Do you receive any error messages in the log tab of the control center? If so, what do they say?
Additionally, what version of IB Gateway are you currently running?
Note: For paper trading accounts, the Socket port value must be 7497 in both TWS and the Connections > Configure settings of NinjaTrader.

Hi Chis,
I don't use TWS. I just had it installed to test if it worked.
For IB Gateway, I'm running version 978 and I use socket port 4002 both on IB Gateway and on my config in NT8 connection. Images attached.
I don't think I'm getting error messages (image attached).
When you take a look at my account, it doesn't even reflect the PnL of my IB paper account (image attached).

To see your account in NinjaTrader make sure your Live license is entered under Help -> License Key, then go to the Tools menu and uncheck Global Simulation Mode.
To gain access to your account(s) you must disconnect and reconnect.
If you are currently using a free edition key this would only display the Sim101 account within the Accounts tab of the Control Center.
