This huge spike in any chart happens when I try and open a chart with the sim101 account. Any reason as to why and how to fix it?

This is occurring because you have some historical data for 6E 12-19 which is a lower price than the 'sim feed start price' therefore creating a large green bar on connection, then you're also trending the market upwards after connection.
The solution here would be to connect to a live data feed so the 'sim feed start price' is updated and then making sure to only trend the market intentionally. Here is a link with more information about the simulated data feed trend slider:
