Unfortunately after re-creating your set up on my end, I was unsuccessful in seeing the same behavior on the VOL Indicator.

I would like to schedule a support call with you to observe the behavior. - I just need a few things from you before our call:

• A phone number where you can be reached. Please email this directly instead of putting it on the forum publicly.
• A time window where I can call you (please include a time zone). Our regular support hours are 8:30am to 6pm US Eastern, Monday through Friday
• Shortly before our call, please launch our remote support application (TeamViewer). There are 2 ways you can do this:
  • Via NinjaTrader Control Center > Help > Remote Support

For completeness to close out this thread, the issue remains and nothing can be done about it in v8 of NT.
The final answer from NT was that they understand my use case, decisions had to be made during development of 8 which results in this behaviour and it can't be resolved in v8 - noted and perhaps in the next.
All well and good, such is life.
The Help documentation explicitly states that if more than one Data Series is used in a chart, 8 will automatically use the designated primary data seres only, and if desired an other data series can be specified in preference.

Which clearly is not the case, resulting in this merry run around and waste of time.
