Replay - Blank Chart (Historical)

Hello,

Came across weird issue all of a sudden. Replay (off 1 min historical data) used to work very well, and then it came to screeching halt. I am using 60 min CL charts. As soon as I connect to Replay connection my chart goes blank, and repay date goes to 12/1/2099 (see screen shot highlighted in yellow). Any idea how to get replay to work again?

So I may accurately assist you, please answer all of the following questions:

• What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.?.?)
• Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?
• I see that 'Historical' is selected in the playback controller. Historical replay requires that you have historical tick data. Please clarify - were you using historical replay previously? Or did you have 'Market Replay' selected?

Hello,

Version is 8.0.18.1 64-bit .

No errors, just blank screen.

Based on documentation I thought Historical will run off 1 min data.

First, I see that you're using an older version of NinjaTrader 8. To update NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below:

• First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

Second, the documentation on how to use historical data for replay states that tick data is required:

"When using Historical data for playback NinjaTrader will use historical tick data for playback."

Can you point me to the documentation you're referring to which states minute historical data is used for playback?

Updating to latest Ninja version solved the issue.
