MACD Alert Issue

We currently have MACD alerts set to execute a sell when two lines cross, it works sometimes but frequently does not trigger a sell when the lines cross, in addition when it does execute it delays until it is significantly past the point when the lines cross.

Please send screenshots of your alert settings, as well as your log and trace files, to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]com.

To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

To attach your log and trace files, please follow the isntructions below:

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought ALERTS had to have a value in order for the alerts to work and you can't base them on conditions. Did this change?

Alerts work based on conditions which compare two values, such as the last traded price, time, or an indicator value. I've provided a link below with more information:
