NT on a MacBook with Parallels - Machine ID Keeps Changing

Hi everyone

For many years I was able to use NT7 on my MacBook Pro using Parallels without a problem. Then at some point every time Parallels was updated NinjaTrader would detect a new Machine ID which would necessitate me updating my software licences for all of my 3rd party indicators. Even for minor changes to Parallels such as a driver update for the sound!

Is there anything that I can do to stop this happening? Does this happen to anyone else?

NinjaTrader does not control your machine ID directly. Your machine ID is generated by NinjaTrader based on your PC's fundamental hardware (like RAM, motherboard, etc.) and fundamental software (BIOS/UEFI version, Windows updates, firmware updates, etc.). If any of these items change, your machine ID is likely to change as well. There is no way to manually change your machine ID.

Unfortunately I am not aware of a way to work-around this in Parallels short of perhaps disabling updates (which I would not recommend), but I encourage other users with relevant Parallels knowledge to provide any useful information.

I stopped using them...I use VMware.
