Not Load Data

When I connect to my data provider it loads data into my charts. Once I disconnect and restart NT without reconnecting, the data is still saved offline and is being displayed on the charts. Is there a way NOT to save that data?

Thank you for your post. No, there is not a method to disable the data from saving/caching in this manner. If needed, the below section of our help guide goes more over the data cache functions.

On the Options > Market data, what are the meaning of:

1) Get data from server
2) Record live data as historical

"Get data from server" enables connected data feeds to request historical data from their servers if offered.

"Record live data as historical" saves real-time data for historical access, intended for use with connections that do not offer historical data.

It is unlikely that this feature would be implemented as saving/caching historical data is a fundamental part of many aspects of NinjaTrader.

Could you go into further detail about why you do not want NinjaTrader to save/cache historical data?
