How do I add an Alert to a Marker?

Hello,

I am not sure how to add an alert to activate when a marker appears, such as the divergence markers on the D3SpotterV3B indicator. This would be very useful for my strategies and any information on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post.

You would not be able to configure this using Chart Alerts as you can only create a chart alerts based on an existing drawing object.

You would need to add the alert capability to the indicator which I note already provides for alerts. By default it appears that the alerts sounds in the indicator are turned off by the setting "show alerts". I do not know if enabling this will meet your specific needs but would be a good to check. The alerts will also appear on the New>Alerts Log window which will provide a good reference as well.

Otherwise, to meet your needs would require modifying the indicator code to play a sound when the condition you are looking for is true.
